Mutual Aid groups have self-organised and most have existed for only a few weeks. In this time, they have recruited hundreds of volunteers and developed systems for meeting the needs of their neighbours. What area do you cover? Across the Borough of Brent, Mutual Aid groups have formed along ward lines. You can find the appropriate ward by entering a postcode on the Council website: https://www.brent.gov.uk/gis-maps/constituencies-map/ We will also assist in finding contact details for other Mutual Aid groups in neighbouring boroughs if needed. What do Mutual Aid groups do? Each Mutual Aid is autonomous and each will offer a slightly different range of services. However, at its core, these are likely to include: delivering shopping; delivering medication; walking dogs; befriending service; and providing a link through to food aid providers. How can I refer a resident? A list of all the ward contact points is attached to this briefing note. Simply check what ward a resident is in and then give them the phone number and email address of that ward.
