The company was founded in 1931 as a family confectionary and tea room, serving handcrafted Belgian pralines. In 1987 our chef chocolatier was awarded the prestigious “Laurier d’Or de la Qualite” in France for creating exceptional chocolates with exquisite flavors and setting the quality standard for our products. The Napolitians were first brought to market in 1989 and have become a signature product for Bouchard. In 2014 Bouchard was acquired by a family owned chocolate group allowing for rapid international expansion to markets outside Europe such as North America and Asia. This led to a renewed passion for product development, together with a focus on international consumer trends, has allowed us to develop “better for you” and “more fun for you” products that can be brought to market with a lead-time of months and are on trend. read more
