Incorporated in 1988 by Bruce Bixby, the company began operations in Ft. Sumner, New Mexico ten years prior and has been performing work for over 40 years. Bixby Electric's primary areas of construction include traffic signalization and roadway lighting; industrial and commercial electrical construction; airfield lighting and electrical; electrical and transmission; directional boring and excavation; and electrical controls. The company also maintains service and maintenance capabilities for all its lines of work. Bixby is a member of both the Northern New Mexico Independent Electrical Contractors Association and the Associated Contractors of New Mexico (ACNM – Heavy Highway Construction). The company utilizes the apprenticeship training program of the NNMIEC to provide training for its indentured electrical apprentices and maintains an in-house training program for its line apprentices producing the next generation of licensed Journeyman and Lineman.
