It was founded by a group of "gentlemen farmers" with the intent for a place that promoted friendships, families, and a sense of tight-knit community—the current clubhouse designed by Robert Work, who was an associate of David Adler. The facilities include a George O'Neill designed 18 hole golf course, 8 Har-tru tennis courts, a swimming pool for the summer activities.
