In 2004 the Bairnsdale Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) evolved from the ‘Bairnsdale Business and Tourism Association’ ... which itself had assumed the role of the former Bairnsdale Chamber of Commerce in 1995. The BCCI liaises with local, state and federal governments on behalf of the Bairnsdale and district business community. The BCCI has representation at East Gippsland Regional Business and Tourism Association meetings, providing feedback on behalf of the BCCI. It promotes business growth and development of the city and networking opportunities for all business sectors. The BCCI is the local representative body for businesses to have their say on the future direction of business in Bairnsdale.
