Baillie Lodges is a dynamic portfolio of luxury lodges in extraordinary destinations created by the partnership of James and ... Hayley Baillie. In 2019 Baillie Lodges entered a joint venture with an affiliate of US-based KSL Capital Partners, LLC (KSL) heralding an exciting new chapter in Baillie Lodges’ quest to deliver extraordinary travel experiences. The remarkable lodges that make up the portfolio are Capella Lodge on Lord Howe Island and Longitude 131° at Uluru-Kata Tjuta. Most recently, Clayoquot Wilderness Lodge on Canada’s Vancouver Island and New Zealand’s Huka Lodge joined the collection, marking Baillie Lodges’ launch as an international collection of luxury lodges. Soon to join them will be Silky Oaks Lodge in the Daintree Rainforest, set to open in October 2021 following a $15million refurbishment. Flagship property Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island was destroyed in the 2020 bushfires, and its rebuild is currently in the planning. The Baillie Lodges properties are recognised for their standout natural locations, architectural integrity, locally sourced fine cuisine, first name service and dynamic approach to ecological sustainability. Each lodge offers guests a real experience of the destination and a genuine sense of place, while a spirit of generosity is at the heart of every Baillie Lodges stay. The culture at Baillie Lodges links closely with its core values, which include a passionate attention to detail, a natural connection with people and place and a warm welcome. The preservation and enhancement of the natural environments in which we operate is essential to our continued success. We actively work with our local communities encouraging economic growth, engaging local suppliers and employing local residents wherever possible.
