Who we are: The Party was created to force substantial reform of our Parliamentary mix in the ACT as a stepping stone to wide ... r influence. It's mission was created after substantial member dissatisfaction with ACT Politics and outcomes for the local and regional communities. We are predominantly a Canberra based Political Party comprised of founding and ordinary individual members. Critical to our national welfare is our capacity to meet the challenges of the 21st Century at a local and regional level. Leadership in our Parliaments and Governments is at an all time low and the capacity of the current generation to pass on a world equal or better than the benefits that they have enjoyed is now considered extremely unlikely. Our party mission and goals is to lead the transition to an Australian society resilient to the challenges of climate change, widespread social injustice, unbelievably poor governments and to unshackle the chains for the younger generation to create a life worth living in Australia. We understand and believe that justice in how our society distributes resources, manages the commons and delivers community services is a critical component of our community well-being and capacity to meet these challenges. Climate Change Justice is fundamentally linked to a fair and equitable Australia as an effective means to the shared and urgent responsibility to overcome climate change, ecological degradation and the private/institutional economic and resource inequities that are now well entrenched in our society. The Australian Climate Change Justice party is a national political party focused on innovation and participation in our democratic Australian Parliaments. We are contesting the ACT Government election in October 2020 and welcome your membership and participation in our campaign.
