From early years to HE, teachers to support staff, lecturers to leaders, we support and represent our members throughout their career. Since its establishment in 1884, ATL has evolved into a modern union currently representing 160,000 members across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Our members are teachers, supply teachers, heads, lecturers, managers and support staff in maintained and independent sector schools and colleges. Following a merger with the Association of College Management in January 2011, ATL has developed AMiE, its leadership section, which provides bespoke materials, training courses and casework support for leadership members in schools and colleges. read more
