The Kansas City Section was recognized at the Kansas City Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers in 1921, though ... meetings have been recorded as early as 1915. The Kansas City Section encompasses the Kansas City metro area including areas of Kansas and Missouri. The section supports two active technical institute chapters (Environmental and Water Resources Institute, and the Geotechnical Institute) and a Younger Members Group.
