“Les Vignobles du Rivesaltais” results from the merger in 1993 of two well-known wineries, both located near Perpignan close ... to the Spanish border : - Cave de Salses le Château founded in 1927 - Cave de Rivesaltes founded in 1932 For years “Les Vignobles du Rivesaltais” have been encouraging the planting and proper nurturing of fine white grape varieties as well as red and now makes exceptionally good red and white wines. We produce fine Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée Wines such as Côtes du Roussillon, Muscat de Rivesaltes and Rivesaltes, but also Vins de Pays and Varietal wines with partnerships with the brands Arnaud de Villeneuve, Marquis de la Houllière and Roc du Gouverneur. We also produce wines from several Domaines. “Les Vignobles du Rivesaltais” comprise 3,000 hectares of vines including 20 different grape varieties ( Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Macabeu, Malvoisie, Chardonnay, Muscat d’Alexandrie, Muscat Petits Grains....) , making some 130,000 hectolitres of wine annually. There are some 500 growers involved and 60 full-time employees. The two Caves bottled 3 million bottles in 2006 and reached a total turnover of 14 million EUROS. “Les Vignobles du Rivesaltais” sell their wines in Europe and also in Japan, China, USA, Canada.
