Born and bred in Argyllshire, Scotland, it was only natural that we would select "Argyll" for the name of our company (and it ... sure didn't hurt our placement in the phone book!). The "A" worked out well, but the double "L" at the end created a problem here in New Mexico, where Spanish is a very important language. The double "L" is pronounced like a "Y" here, which makes the Gaelic double "L" a real tongue-twister in our name. So, we settled on the current spelling. The senior Wright emigrated from Scotland to Canada in 1956 and spent two years as a salesman for Liquid Air Canada. He then emigrated to the United States in 1958, to Cleveland, OH.
