The Philadelphia Chapter of the ASA comprises statisticians from the Philadelphia-New Jersey-Delaware tri-state area. Our mem ... bers work in government, industry, and academia. Our purpose is to serve our members and anyone else interested in the benefits of research, applications in statistics, professional development, and networking! Our annual activities typically include meetings in the spring and fall with lunch and an afternoon of guest speakers. We sponsor a mentorship program, a one-day traveling short course, and monthly webinars. And we have a Mid-Winter social event which includes dinner and a speaker. Officers are elected in June and serve one-year terms. We support local science fairs and poster competitions and provide resources for local teachers of statistics. We are closely affiliated with PASTA the Philadelphia Area Statistics Teachers Association. read more
