The Normandy 2014 Organising Committee was formed in September 2010 to organise the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014 i ... n Normandy. Over many successful and innovative years, the competition has found its feet and grown into a prestigious international event: Stockholm (SWE) in 1990, The Hague (NED) in 1994, Rome (ITA) in 1998, Jerez de la Frontera (SPA) in 2002 and Aachen (GER) in 2006 and Lexington, Kentucky (USA) in 2010. From August 23rd to September 7th 2014, Normandy (France) hosted the 7th edition of the world's biggest equestrian event in the world. More than just a sporting event that had the finest athletes and horses compete again each other, the 2014 edition welcomed 565,000 visitors and gave them a genuine insight into the equine world. 8 official competitions were featured all around Normandy (Caen, Le Pin National Stud and Bay of Mont St Michel) during this event : Jumping, Eventing, Dressage, Vaulting, Endurance, Reining, Driving and Para-Dressage.
