AHC is a nonprofit developer of affordable housing in the mid-Atlantic region that provides quality homes for low- and modera ... te-income families. AHC has developed more than 50 properties with nearly 7,500 affordable apartments since 1975. Along with developing and preserving affordable housing, we also have a subsidiary AHC Management that provides property management services at many of our apartment communities. AHC also offers educational programs for children, teens, families and senior citizens. Our Resident Services department, initiated more than 25 years ago, is helping build stronger futures for more than 3,000 children, youth and adults who live in our affordable housing communities through education programs, community partnerships and local services. Volunteer opportunities include working with elementary students in our Afterschool Program or Summer and teens in our Tutoring and College and Career Readiness Programs.
