Welcome to the Tucson Chapter! Chartered on September 7th, 1993 our Chapter consists of about 85 members. Approximately half ... are affiliated with industry and the other half are military/civil service. We offer a variety of professional and social events with an emphasis on networking and an exchange of information and ideas in an open, ethical environment that fosters close cooperation and understanding between the military, civil service, industry and academia. We have a wide variety of programs supporting AFCEA International objectives, including a Distinguished Luncheon Speaker program where we address a wide array of technical and strategic professional development topics and science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education outreach. We are an AFCEA International Internal Model Chapter and we’re especially proud of our Young AFCEANs, as we were honored to celebrate two winners in 2013 and one in 2014! Chapter Focus The Tucson Chapter is centered around 12th Air Force (Air Forces Southern), 612th Air Communications Squadron, 355th Fighter Wing, 355th Communications Squadron, 55th Electronic Combat Group, 563rd Rescue Group, 214th Reconnaissance Group, Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Tucson, Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs, and the FAA. Chapter activities include six professional development luncheons, scholarships for local chapter members and University of Arizona ROTC students, STEM grants to local 5-12th grade teachers, and additional community outreach and member enrichment activities.
