We respond to over 7,500 responses covering over 300 square miles. We have 9 MICUs, 2 ALS squads and 11 BLS QRS units. Our units respond out of four local fire station under agreements between three volunteer fire department. We were formed in 2015 from the merger of EMS Service previous owned by Gettysburg Fire Department and United Hook & Ladder Co #33. The merger happened due to the need of ALS service to Adams County. The only way this was going to happen was to join together for the better of the community. AREMS went in service June 28, 2015. On March 3, 2019 the Fairfield EMS merged into AREMS.
