ACE Mentor Program of Cleveland engages nearly 200 students from 11 high schools in the Greater Cleveland area in career path ... way programs in architecture - construction - engineering. Participating high schools include: Collinwood Ginn Academy James F. Rhodes John Hay (two programs) John Marshall Lincoln West Max Hayes MetroHealth New Tech West New Tech East Tri-C's High Tech Academy Warrensville Heights The heart of the ACE program is the mentoring relationship between the students and professionals from the A- C- E industries, with over 100 local firms providing volunteers for the program. Mentor team members generally meet bi-weekly with students after school for a hands-on, interactive curriculum, including field trips and an RFP project. Over the last twelve years, the Cleveland ACE program has provided over $1,100,000 in scholarships to over 179 college students. College partners include: University of Akron, Cleveland State University, Cuyahoga Community College & Kent State University. We support students advancement into careers via mentoring, shadowing, internships and jobs. Major supporters include: University Hospitals, The Cleveland Foundation, American Institute of Architects- Cleveland, Construction Employers Association, Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District & Sodexo. There are 76 ACE Mentor Program affiliates in North America that seek "to engage, excite, and enlighten high school students" in the architecture, construction, and engineering industries. read more
