He wanted to bring Aburi (flame seared) Sushi to Canada, and came up with the original idea of combining French influenced sauces with Japanese flavours to pair with the fresh seafood available in British Columbia. Years later, Aburi Oshi Sushi is one of the most craved foods in Vancouver. Aburi is the parent company to 7 properties in Canada, including Miku Vancouver & Toronto, Minami Vancouver & Toronto, Aburi TORA, Aburi Hana, and Gyoza Bar. As the corporate hub of the four restaurants, the team at Head Office works hard to support and manage each restaurant, ensuring their success.
