ABRT Professionals: - have not committed an act of bankruptcy; - are subject to a criminal record check upon joining; - are required to confirm adequate professional indemnity insurance annually (if in practice); - are required to adhere to a professional code of ethics, conduct and disciplinary oversight through our complaints system; - demonstrate a minimum of 30 hours of structured professional development every 3 years; and - have been subject to reference checks to verify experience and are able to provide testimonials. A certified professional ABRT member has completed the highest level of educational standards in restructuring and turnaround. In addition to having the requisite foundation understanding of financial literacy and legal knowledge, they will have demonstrated a comprehensive working knowledge of strategic turnaround & restructuring management.
