Now, we welcome the Development Bank of Japan as our largest shareholder and take the first step under Seiko Semiconductor Corporation’s new name of ABLIC Inc. as of January 2018. We began in-house development and fabrication of CMOS ICs in 1970, based on the production of the world’s first practical quartz watches in which CMOS ICs were incorporated. Since then, while continuing to provide small, low-power consumption, and high-precision analog semiconductor products, not only for watches, but also for a wide range of consumer, mobile, and automotive devices, we have been making great efforts to bring about innovations in our in-house technology. Our strength lies in the low-current consumption, low-voltage operation, and ultra-small package technologies we have developed over many years. As is the case with our protection ICs for lithium-ion batteries and our automotive memory products, many of our product lines hold some of the greatest market shares in the world and our products receive global praise for their high quality.
