Up until now only the wealthy could afford solar panels, however, due to new legislation that will take effect from April 2010, which will provide us with guaranteed income for the electricity our panels will generate, we are able to fit free solar panels onto any roof that is suitable. Now nearly everyone can have access to free electricity all year round. We are aiming to fit solar panels on a minimum of 2000 houses in the Yorkshire area before April 2011. Unfortunately not all houses will be suitable. The size of the roof, the direction it is pointing and whether or not it is overshadowed by trees are some of the things that have to take into consideration. In the longer term we are committed to sourcing innovative and affordable greener products that will help you save money AND save the environment. Fitting free Solar Panels is our first project but there will be many more to follow. We will be continually researching products and working on projects that we believe can help you to become "A Shade Greener".
