On June 14th 1970, LETO Maternity hospital is created with the vision to establish a model Unit of Obstetrics and Gynaecology ... , with a humanitarian approach which would enable Greek women to find the right diagnosis, treatment and comfort in one of the most organized hospitals in the country. The initiators, a team of renowned obstetricians-gynaecologists, managed to create a modern nursing unit, which was to be the perfect "tool" for providing high-quality care to the woman, mother and newborn. Over the years many young obstetricians-gynaecologists joined LETO Maternity Hospital giving the scientific freshness and renewal both of its medical personnel or medical procedures and protocols of the Clinic. The principles on which the founding members of LETO relied upon and which are consistently followed to date are: - The treatment of the pregnant woman and patient by experienced medical and specialized nursing personnel, as unique and separate incident, with a high sense of responsibility and respect. For this reason, special attention is given to the proper selection of personnel staffing all the parts to fit the culture of the clinic. - The development and application of the latest technological advancements and methodology in the fields of obstetrics, gynaecology and surgery and continuing education of staff around the new realities of medical science and technology. - Creating and maintaining a family-type environment, where all inpatients feel the security they seek through personal care and genuine interest for each patient as a person primarily and secondarily as a medical emergency. The acknowledgement and confirmation we receive all these years, of the high level of provided services, both by our medical partners, and our customers, of course to the neonate. read more
